The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning stands as the smartest and most connected pickup truck in Ford's history. With an increased maximum available payload capacity of 2,235 pounds, this electric vehicle redefines power and capability.
Properly equipped, the F-150 Lightning can now haul an additional 235 pounds, totaling a maximum available towing capacity of 2,235 pounds. The extended-range battery pack delivers an impressive 580 horsepower, while the standard-range, zero-emissions battery pack offers 452 horsepower, an increase from the originally promised 426 horsepower.
Both battery packs provide a remarkable 775 lbs.-ft. of torque, surpassing any other pickup truck built with Ford Tough capability. Ford has also announced plans to increase production of the F-150 Lightning from 100,000 units to 150,000 units annually by 2023.
